August Primrose
Hey reader!! I've been trying to think of more ways that I can show my process and what is going on behind the scenes. I've had this idea brewing in my mind for a few months now. I know not everyone can afford to buy my artwork or to pay for shipping. I want to provide something to my wonderful community that is inexpensive but cute and somewhat useful? I guess it depends on what your definition of useful is. So, I thought I could draw an elegant whimsical version of Prim with a different color scheme for each month and make her downloadable as a phone or iPad background or wallpaper. I intend on making these downloads only $1 and you will receive a variety of background color choices.
On that journey of creating the first August version I quickly realized that she would look adorable for either a monthly cover for a planner or in a bullet journal so I also printed it out and created a die cut sticker which I am sneaking into this weekend's new releases as August is coming up QUICKLY. The digital download version will be available later next week and I will come back and link it once it's up.
That being said I thought you might be interested to see the original sketch and it contains a sneak peek of what September's version is going to look like!
And....I liked her so much I printed her out on some Copic friendly paper and colored her in! Which was fun. I haven't used my copics in awhile and reignited my love for coloring with an analog tool as opposed to digitally. I absolutely love my art supply collection but I don't use them as much as I should and I am challenging myself (Here and NOW!) to use them more.
